Missionaries

Washington Church has members and their families who have prayerfully answered the call to go into the mission field. As they find themselves in different parts of the world facing numerous challenges and doing God's work, they know that they are loved and supported by their church family back home.

If you are interested in mission work, don't miss our missionary bulletin board the next time you visit Washington Church, and read the prayer requests and updates from our friends and loved ones across the globe.

Missionary Prayer Requests:

Reynosa (Erin and Carlos de Gutierrez): Wisdom for Erin and her husband, Carlos, who serve as the superintendent of the Isaiah 55 school. They are rewriting curriculum for the deaf school to include teaching values. Pray for a blessing upon the newly remodeled community center, and continued protection as the cartel is ever-present.

Magdalena (Keith and Alisha Beyer, and Rachel Witzig): For relationships to be formed at CVE and within the Mexican community. Please pray for confidence in His calling of Rachel to MX and His provision for her and to be intentional in asking for support when needed.

Ixtlan/Barra Vieja (Matt & Ruth): Prayer that the middle school project be completed by deadlines, and the new facilities enable the school to faithfully further its spiritual mission in students' lives. Pray for blessing and unity as Lalo and Matt work together for the glory of God. For Sister Kike, who is undergoing cancer treatment. For protection for church attendees.

Japan (John & Sylvia): www.johnandsilvia.com. Continued prayer for parenting 3 small boys while serving in their ministry. John is seeking a Masters degree which will require occasional visits to the US.

Jordan (Trish & Kyle): Thankful for safe arrival of baby Violet. Kyle is working to aid refugees out of the camps and into employment. Trish is teaching ESL to Iraqi refugees.

Kurdistan (Jason and Ann (Steffen) Knapp): Prayer for protection due to political unrest and for safe travels as they plan to come home in December.

Harvest Call: Tim and Barb Slagel, Emily Hartter, and others will serve in South Carolina for 3 months beginning in January, 2018. Pray for humble hearts, servant attitudes, patience, grace, wisdom in decision making for those in leadership, and safety in travels and on the job sites.
